Partners as Caregivers
When one partner takes on caregiving responsibilities in a relationship, there is a cascade of changes that follow. In this course, we'll discuss that shift in power and the resulting fall-out, and give practical treatment recommendations for addressing these couples in therapy.
Diabetes
Diabetes is one of the most common chronic conditions in the United States, and frequently co-occurs with depression. In this training, we'll gain a better understanding of what diabetes is and how behavioral treatment is a core component of health for diabetic patients.
Death & Dying
Whether it's a sudden life-changing diagnosis or a slow decline over time, the grief that comes with the death and dying process affects families deeply. This training will explore the medical and psychosocial aspects of the dying process so that therapists are more equipped to support their clients in this deeply meaningful time.
Infertility
Infertility, pregnancy loss, and traumatic birth experiences reorganize couple relationships. This training uses a trauma-informed approach to understand the impact on families - medically, relationally, and spiritually - and guides you towards evidence-based treatment recommendations for therapy.
Collaboration
It can be intimidating to approach collaborating with medical professionals - we speak different languages, have different ethical codes, and our understanding of each other can be limited. But collaboration is a powerful tool for helping our clients! This training will explore the ethics and practicalities of interdisciplinary collaboration.

I found Dr. Pratt's exam review to be extremely helpful and informative. Her materials were thorough and easy to follow. Dr. Pratt's review was full of helpful ways to distinguish between the different theories and models and she provided numerous examples to explain the concepts of each model. Her upbeat, out-going personality made the session very enjoyable! I felt much more prepared for the licensure exam after the review!
